After completing his MD, Dr Nishit undertook a three-year residency at AIIMS Patna. Subsequently, he pursued a fellowship in Hemato-oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant at HCG Hospital Bangalore. Following the fellowship, he served as a Junior Consultant in the Department of Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplant at HCG Hospital Bangalore.
Currently, Dr Nishit holds the position of Consultant at the Department of Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplant in Fortis Hospital and serves as the head of Medical Services for the Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplant team at Chiron Clinics Bangalore.
Dr Nishit has performed approximately 100 transplants, inclusive of international patients encompassing both Allogeneic and Autologous Stem Cell Transplants, for a variety of conditions including Benign disorders such as Thalassemia, Sickle Cell Anemia, Aplastic Anemia, and SCID, as well as Leukemic conditions including Leukemia, Lymphoma, and Myeloma. He is adept at administering high-dose chemotherapy for Leukemia and Lymphoma patients and is recognized as an expert in the treatment of Benign disorders. Additionally, Dr Nishit has authored numerous publications in his field.
